Odds and Ends
Well, there are just topics that don't fit too neatly in the other sections, and to avoid balooning the site into including sections devoted to parks, fire apparatus, and other curious novelties, I offer them here in a compact assortment of pages that detail a wide range of things not covered by the other sections.  Certainly a great deal to enjoy, which I hope you do.
Boundary Stones A continuing source of wonderment, fascination, amusement, and most of all, frustration, encounters the ongoing search to find these forgotten markers of the city's borders past and present.
Druid Hill Park The crown jewel of Baltimore's city parks has lots to offer besides sporting beside one's automobile.  For the historian, any number of curious relics tell of the park's early days.
Cool Stuff in the Zoo
It's not only animals that the zoo can be proud of!  Home to a number of Druid Hill Park's most celebrated curiosities of old Baltimore, here is a tour of some of great items within!
Amusement Parks Forget Six Flags.  Back in the day, Baltimoreans knew how to have a good time in the summer months, and it was almost as easy as boarding the nearest streetcar line.
Hope Springs Eternal
First things first, obey your thirst.  So went the tagline of Sprite's ads in the 90s.  A century ago, Baltimoreans were privy to have access to a number of springs to quench the summer thirst.
City Squares
A Sunday in the park was a favorite pasttime of many a Baltimorean in the Victorian era.  These days can still be relived in one of Baltimore's surviving squares and urban parks.
Locke Square
A place so well hidden that only those who live on its borders even know of its existence.  Journey into West Baltimore for a look at this novel gem.
Bicentennial Fire Hydrants After doing some rather extensive searching, I've come across a decent number of these 1976 vintage "soldiers" remaining in service for Baltimore City.
"Fort" Crimea
A fort which you will likely never see mentioned in ANY history book, Fort Crimea was an elaborate structure of a most unique military purpose, the art of deception.
Baltimore 1954 and 2004 - Then and Now
There are few who do not get fascinated by old "Then and Now" comparisons.  I have to include myself in that company, and took a stab at trying my own "Then and Now" project.
Mason Dixon Markers A Special Bonus to B-More Ghosts.  This page takes an introductory look at the ever famous Mason Dixon Markers, and explores the state of their preservation today.
Twilight Zone Ever feel like you "weren't in Kansas anymore."  It happens in a number of spots in Baltimore, as one feels moved to a new area or a former time.  A novel look at some of these spots.
Last Gasp Odds and Ends I try to include everything I can find, but there are things that just seem to lack the depth to get their own page.  If its obscure and eccentric, you just may find it here on this page.
Whattizzit? Naturally, one encounters any number of baffling artifacts when canvassing the city looking for other obscure goodies.  Here is a page that seeks to find answers to what some of these oddities are.
